Virtual Hosts in Apache 2.2

I've just set up Apache for my dev server Laughing I'm quite impressed with how good it is. However, setting up the Virtual Hosts was a bit of a pain - all the tutorials I found didn't quite explain where to put the <virtualHost> tags, just "at the bottom of the page"
